Bunney's Christmas Mouse
Add a new raster layer and name this layer
mouth. Change your background color to #F7F0EB your foreground (styles) color
should be set to black. Using your preset shapes tool using
your ellipse shape. Create as vector is NOT checked. Draw a small circle for
his nose like this
Add a new raster layer no need to name this layer at this point. Change your background color back to black and change your preset shape back to the teardrop. Create as vector is NOT checked. Draw a small teardrop at the tip of the nose, Then go to image flip and place at the top of the nose like this
Add a new raster layer and change your
foreground (styles) color to white, using your draw tool
with line width of 2 (two) draw a little white mark on the tip of his nose, similar
to what we did on the eyes. Then go to effects, blur, gaussian blur and use a
radius of 1.00. this is what your mouse should look like now.
Add a new raster layer, still no need to name
this one yet. Using your preset shapes tool this time going back to the rectangle.
Create as vector should be CHECKED! We are going to add some teeth. Change
your background color back to the same color we used for the nose #F7F0EB.
Right below the nose draw a rectangle. Using your object selector tool right
click on the inside of the tooth and go to node edit the two bottom nodes, we
just want to right click on those and go to node type and chose symmetric,
This gives the tooth a rounded effect. Now after you get your tooth set the
way you want it go to edit copy edit paste as a new layer and place this on
the opposite side. This is what you should have
Looks almost like a chipmunk huh? LOL. We are
going to fix that, Now make sure you are on the layers you just drew for your
teeth, remember you will have two of those, We need to drag these layers below
the nose layer
Layer 6 and Layer 7. Now place an x on layers 1, head, eyes and then merge visible the remaining layers, rename this layer nose.
On those same dots draw lines curving outward to where they create some whiskers like this For this step you need to make your background null. Foreground (styles) color is still black.
Now while still using the draw tool where your teeth join you need to draw a small line going from the teeth up like this
Open your layers palette and place a red x on
layer 1, head layer and eye layer merge visible the remaining layers and
rename nose. Add a new raster layer and name this layer cheeks.
Using your airbrush tool change your foreground (styles) color to a light pink or red I am using #FF8080 doesn't matter the color of your background. Use these settings
Right up under the eyes Then go to effects, blur, gaussian blur and use radius of 1.00. This is what you should have now.
Now you can merge visible all layers and rename Mouse Head. Lots of steps in this tutorial. I hope you aren't getting too tired *S* Are you ready to add the hat and ears? Then go to page 3. This Tutorial ©
