Quackers Page 3
Set your foreground color to dark gray, Make
your background color NULL. Use your draw tool (pencil) line width is still
set to 1. Draw some lines on your duck. On the face, don't make these
too prominent, we just want to add some feathers. Add a few on his face and
his body. not to many though:0)) Now use your retouch tool, same settings and
going back and forth on the lines you have just drawn, in quick motions going
back and forth to smooth these out. Make sure you do each of these lines.
Your duck should now look something similar to this one. Yours wont have the
hat yet of course that's next:0))
Add a new layer name this layer hat *VBG* Change your foreground color to a dark gray I am using the same gray #808080 Set your background color to a color you want your hat to be. The hat is totally optional. I just added it as a nice touch:0) Use your present shape tool and your eclipse make sure your create as vector is CHECKED. Draw an oblong shape for his hat like this
Go to your object selector tool and right click on the inside of your image
and go to node edit, Bring node 1 up to where its almost flat at the bottom
node 3 gets pulled up , Nodes 2 and 4 need to be pulled down. Your image
will then look similar to this one
Go to effects, plug in texturizer, texture and browse to your pds files and
use the lds_denim texture. ( I am not sure where this texture came from but
if its yours please let me know and I will give you proper credit) Add
a new layer . Now add your bill to the hat, using your present shape and
your eclipse draw a small circular shape and use your object selector tool
to edit your bill for your hat. Just play around with the nodes on
this one. On this step I used so many steps to move edit the bill that It
would be rather hard for me to explain but use your imagination and see what
you can come up with. Once you get it set the way you want it. Don't forget
to add the lds_denim texture to the bill. Make sure you move the bill layer
beneath your hat layer. Place an X on all other layers except your bill and
hat layer and merge visible these two layers and name this layer hat.
You can add a new layer and add a small circle using your present shape tool
same settings and add the same texture if you wish like this one shown here.
I have made this hat into a tube if you would like to use
that instead you can get it
HERE.
Also You can colorize it in psp to any color
you would like to use:0)) If you chose not to use the tube, use your draw tool
foreground color set to gray your background color needs to be NULL. Draw some
lines on the top of the hat. The one you see above I colorized it after I got
the hat the way I wanted, Just go to colors, colorize and play around with the
settings to get the color you want. And that's it.. You can merge visible all
your layers now and tube or you can add your drop shadow and play around with
your new Duck;))
