43.  Layers, new raster layer. Name this layer left eye.

44.  Preset shapes tool with these settings. (Using the ellipse shape).

45.  Foreground (styles) color black. Background color white.

46.  Draw a oval shape for the white part of the puppies eye. Similar to this.

47.  Layers, duplicate. Image mirror. Place on the other side.

49.  Layers, new raster layer. Name this layer inner eye.

50.  Foreground and background color black.

51.  Preset shapes tool using same setting. Draw a small inner part of the eye near the bottom similar to the image below.

52.  Layers, duplicate. Image mirror. Place on the other inside white of the eye.

53.  Layers, new raster layer. Name this layer cheeks.

54.  Foreground color #BD0000.

55.  Using airbrush tool with these settings. Spray two cheeks just right at the lines on the puppies smile.

56.  Effects, blur, gaussian blur. Use these settings.

57.  I saved the hardest part for last (at least this was a hard part for me *VBG*). Foreground (styles) color black. Background color #E6D5B2.

58.  Using draw tool with settings below. We are going to draw the his paws.

59.  Highlight body layer in your layer palette and add a new raster layer. Name this layer paws.

60.  Draw a v-shape similar to the image below on your puppies body.

61.  Continue on down the bottom of the v drawing the paws. This is going to be a hit or miss lol. It took me many many tries to get the paws the way I wanted them. And remember the "UNDO" is your friend! So don't give up. If you have an easier way this can be done, feel free to use that way. This was the only way I could get my paws drawn. This is what mine looks like.

62.  That wasn't to bad was it??? LOL. Now all that is left are the hearts. You can choose to add them or leave your puppy as is. To add the hearts, highlight your face layer on your layer palette and add a new raster layer. Name this layer hearts.

63.  Foreground (styles) color black. Background color #5C421D.

64.  Preset shapes tool. Same settings only this time we are going to use the heart preset shape. You can use any shape you wish. The heart I am using is heart 1. Draw some hearts on your puppies body.

65.  You can change the colors for the tail and draw some hearts on the tail as I have done. Merge visible all layers and you are done. You can now tube your image for use later. Here is my finished puppy.

When writing this tutorial, I asked my 5 year old which puppy she liked best for me to use with this tutorial. As you can see she chose the brown one. I also created one for Valentines Day below.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I have creating him for you! As always if you have any questions or something is unclear feel free to email me at kitchel@isponline.net and I will answer all email as soon as possible. The inspiration for this tutorial came from a coloring page my 5 year old brought home from school. I just had to try to create it in psp.
Thank you for trying this puppy tutorial!
