"Elfie" A cute little Elf Tutorial By Bunney Page 6 Open up the tubes you downloaded in PSP and go export these as tubes. Now make sure your Elf image is open, add a new raster layer, using your draw tool your foreground (styles) color should still be set on black. Your background color needs to be null The settings for your draw tool are below Now just draw some wiggly lines around your elf and make sure that you draw them going thru his hands like this Now locate your tubes that you exported earlier, Use any color you will have to set the scale to at least 55 or smaller depending upon the size of your elf and the string you have fixed. You will have to use your deformation tool to rotate these where you want them, Use different colors rotate each one to set where you want them on your string. You should have something similar to this when you finish this part Only one more step and you are done. Add a new raster layer name this layer plug. Using your preset shapes tool with create as vector checked find your rounded rectangle The image above shows create as vector NOT checked, On this part it doesn't really matter if it's checked or not I have it checked just so its easy to rotate it where I want it, If you choose to have create as vector NOT checked then you will need to rotate it like you did your Christmas Lights. Change your background color to black, Both foreground (styles) and background styles should now be black. Draw a rounded rectangle at the end of the string of lights like this Now rotate it where you want it, make sure though if you had create as vector checked that you go to layers convert to raster first, Then using your draw tool with line width set at 2 (two) draw two prongs on the end for your plug in like this Your finished "Elfie" with lights should look similar to this I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did creating it, As Always if I have left something out or something isn't clear to you don't hesitate to email me at kitchel@isponline.net and I will answer all email as soon as possible.
