Bunney's  Egyptian Nights

Background Tutorial

This tutorial was created using PSP 7. I don't see any reason why it can not be finished in other versions of PSP. I hope you enjoy this tutorial as much as I have creating it! I enjoy playing around in psp with different filters and this is what I came up with playing.

Filters needed to complete this tutorial.

(Note: All filters need to be unzipped into your PSP Plugins folder

1.  DSB Flux Filter. Download HERE.

2. Simple Filter. Download HERE.

3.  FM Tile Tools Filter. Download HERE. (Optional)

4.   VM Natural Filter. Download HERE.

5.   This gradient file. Download HERE. (You can choose to use your own gradient if you wish). (Unzip this into your psp gradient folder).

6.   VM Tool Box Filter. Download HERE.

7.   VM Experimental Filter. Download HERE.

Lets Get Started

1.   Open a new 100 by 100 (16. 7 Million color) transparent image.

2.   Flood fill with your choice of gradient. I am using Gold_1.  (Use these settings).

3.   Effects, plug-in filters, DSB Flux, bright noise. Use these settings.

  4.   Effects, plug-in filters, VM Tool box, mirrororriM. Use these settings.

5.   Effects, plug-in filters, VM Tool Box, motion trail. Use these settings. (Note: The colors red, green and blue, for each background I create, I try to slide the colors around so that the motion trail is similar to the color on the tile).

6.   Effects, plug-in filters, VM Experimental, Tee Wee. Use these settings.

.

7.   Effects, plug-in filters, Simple, pizza slice mirror.

Your image should look similar to this.

8.   Effects, plug-in filters, FM Tile tools, blend emboss. (This step is optional, I like the embossed look, you may not, so this step is up to you). The settings I used are below.

You are now finished. Your image will tile when used on a web page or in stationery. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial as much as I have creating it for you!
