54.  Layer, new raster layer. Name this layer hair.

55.  Foreground (styles) color black. Background color null.

56.  Using draw tool with these settings. Draw some hair for your soldier. 

57.  Layers, arrange, move down. Your image should look similar to this.

58.  Layers, new raster layer. Name this layer body.

59.  Foreground (styles) color #C00000. Background color #C00000.

60.  Preset shapes tool , using the rounded rectangle, with these settings. Draw a body for your soldier. 

61.  Layers, arrange, send to bottom.

62.  Selections, select all. Selections float.

63.  Effects, 3D effects, cut out. Use these settings.

64.  Selections, select none.

65.  Effects, plug-in filters, dbs flux, bright noise. Use these settings.

66.  Layers, new raster layer. Name this layer arm.

67.  Preset shapes tool, same settings, draw a long rounded rectangle for his arm as close to his body top as you can. (It will hang over just a little and that's what we want). 

68.  Deformation tool rotate the arm to the right so that it fits right under the head. 

69.  Effects, 3D effects, inner bevel. Use these settings.

 

70.  Open layer palette, duplicate layer. Image mirror and place on the other side of the soldiers body. Your image should look similar to this.

71.  Layers, new raster layer. Name this layer body trim.

72.  Foreground (styles) color white. Background color white.

72.  Using draw tool with these settings. Draw a line of trim going from the bottom of the soldiers head to the bottom of his body.

73.  Selections, select all. Selections float.

74.  Effects, plug-in filters, flaming pear, blade pro. Use D_silver shimmer. 

75.  Selections, select none.

76.  Layers, new raster layer. Name this layer bottom trim.

77. Preset shapes tool. Same settings. Draw a small rounded rectangle at the bottom of your soldiers body.

78.  Repeat steps 73-74. Your image should now look similar to this. (Your image will not have the bow added as shown below).

 

79.  Selections, select none. 

80.  Foreground (styles) black. Background color black.

81.  Layers, new raster layer. Name this layer legs.

82.  Preset shapes tool same settings. Draw a rounded rectangle for you soldiers legs. (This will need to be as wide as the soldiers body).

83.  Layers, arrange, send to bottom. (Don't worry we will separate the legs next). 

84.  Foreground (styles) color white. Background color null.

85.  Layers new raster layer. No need to name this layer.

86.  Using paintbrush tool with these settings.

87.  Draw a line going down the center of the soldiers pants.

88.  Effects, blur, gaussian blur. Use these settings.

89.  Open layer palette, highlight legs layer.

90.  Selections, select all. Selections float.

91.  Foreground (styles) color white. Background color white.

92.  Layers, new raster layer. Name this layer stripes. (The image shown at the beginning of this tutorial does not show these strips, I decided to add these after I had already began working on the tutorial).

93.  Using draw tool with these settings. Draw two lines going down the left side of the soldiers pants.

94.  Selections, select none. Selections, select all. Selections float. (This will now move the marching ants to around those stripes you just drew).

95.  Repeat step 74.

96.  Selections, select none.

97.  Open layer palette and duplicate layer.

98.  Image mirror and place on the right side of the soldiers pants. This is what your image should look like.

99.  Foreground (styles) color black. Background color black.
